In this update, we have released a new version of SyncBack (visit our downloads page to get the latest versions), published an article on Backup Profile Types and also inform you about Microsoft ending support for Windows 7 and 8.

SyncBack

SyncBack V10.2.88.0 was released 4th January 2023. It includes a number of improvements and fixes. For the full list see our changes page. As always, you can download the latest versions of all our software from our downloads page.

If you are using SyncBack Touch, we also recommend you update it to the latest version.

Windows 7 and 8

Microsoft is ending support for Windows 7 and 8 in January 2023. This includes security updates and updates to Microsoft Edge. Google is also ending support for Google Chrome on Windows 7 and 8.

There are currently no plans for 2BrightSparks to end support for these versions of Windows with any of our software. In fact, we still support Windows Vista. However, we would strongly recommend not using any version of Windows that is no longer receiving security updates from Microsoft.

Backup Profile Types

In the Backup Profile Types article, we explain the different profile types available in SyncBack so you can choose the right profile type to protect your data against human errors, corruption, hardware failures, and disasters. There are three main profile types: Backup, Mirror and Synchronization.
