When using Smart Sync is there a way to set it to automaticly copy a later date & time version of a file over the older one in either direction? It is a pain and waste of time to manually review each one and select an option. Thanks for your help.

Hi, do you mean you want to skip the Differences screen? If so, simply tick the checkbox that is at the bottom of that screen when it is shown.

Also, change the settings, where appropriate, on the Advanced tab to 'Newer file overwrites older file'

Thanks for the reply but it does not help at all. There is no "advanced" tab anywhere that I can find and there is no checkbox to not show the differences. What a frustrating and hostile program this is.

Hi, the Advanced tab is shown when you modify or create a profile. I'm not sure how the program can be considered hostile Question Reading the help file may make is less frustrating for you.

Thanks for the help you solved my problem.
The help file does NOT say where to find the advanced tab.
I've been using a PC since 1980. This program is the least
intuitive sync program I have tried.

In the help file: Using SyncBackSE -> Easy Mode -> Advanced Settings

We intend to change the profile setup/configuration in the next version, but we already know we'll be unable to make it as simple as possible for absolutely everyone. We have a help file, knowledge base, frequently asked questions, tutorials, technical support, and a forum to help those, like yourself, who do not find it simple. We'll also soon be releasing a tutorial on creating a synchronisation profile. Thanks
