When running a profile which copies normally from Left to Right, occasionally there are cases where the right screen does not want to receive all the files in the Differences Window because that program has been removed from the computer, and so these files are no longer wanted and so this is an ideal time to invoke "Mirror all the files to the left".
As the files are NOT on the Right they will ALL be deleted from the Left which saves using the drop down window in the Action Column for each file and selecting "Delete from Left".
After this invocation of the powerful "Mirror all the files to the left", I would like the profile to return to the normal copying from Left to Right or for the "Mirror all the files to the left" to apply only to that particular Differences Window.
When I have used this new feature, once invoked, it seems to continue to observe the overriding instruction of Mirroring files to the left which distorts the rest of the profile and I have to abort. Is there a way to unclick or turn off "Mirror all the files to the left" during the profile run once it has done it's job of Mirroring just the current Differences Window? |

No. Cannot repeat.
My concern was that, when running a Group of profiles, if (In Backup mode not sync) one differences screen pops up and states the files on the left are about to replace the files on the right and you want the opposite, this reversal of traffic direction sticks for the rest of the Profiles in this Group for the current run. Now seems the default is the opposite of this.
For example, backing up from left to right some file missing on the right is about to be copied from left to right BUT, you have intentionally deleted the file on the right and DO NOT want it replaced you would use the drop down window and choose "Delete from the Left".
But, if there were many files you do now want copied to the right, you use the Mirror feature and Mirror the Right (empty) files to the Left which consequently permantly deletes them. _________________ Time without change produces only age. |

Thanks, I understand now. I ran some tests to check and the mirror setting (or individual changes of an action) doesn't stick (it shouldn't as nothing is passed or retained between the profiles in a group). If you can reproduce this please submit a support ticket as this would be a serious bug. _________________

Checking my favorites I have deleted two URL's (that no longer exist) and, when running my normal backup to trap changes SBSE discovers two missing URL's and offers to copy\replace these two URL's to the right.
I don't want to copy them so, if I choose the drop down window and 'Delete from Left', all OK and the profile continues normally deleting the unwanted two URL's from the left.
BUT. if I choose mirror to the left my Profile filters are ignored and ALL files on the right are unnecessarily copied to the left which is logical (as well as the intended\required deletion of the 2 URL's).
In some cases this could cause problems so I must use the Mirror carefully! _________________ Time without change produces only age. |

Absolutely. It's Mirror all the files to the left. _________________
