|
I am testing InfoHesive, and in my first few minutes I found a couple of things that make it almost unusable.
I copied some text from an HTML-formatted e-mail that I received (copying from the e-mail window as displayed by Outlook 2007). I used Paste Text from the Editor menu. The resulting text is a mess, and it looks like this in InfoHesive (I removed some text):
A few issues for the first one…
· We don’t have
· We don’t know the
We’ll figure all this out, it’s just a little confusing. I’ll work on
As you might guess, the A with a hat is a bullet; there's a centered dot after that which might be a tab; the words "don't" and "we'll" and "I'll" in the original message have a closing single quote for the apostrophe character, which comes out as three characters in the InfoHesive window.
After the word "one", the message has three periods, which turns into a single ellipsis character, I think, in the HTML (and in MS Word).
E-mail messages often come to me formatted as HTML. It would be terrific if InfoHesive would help me organize and track things that I am asked to do by e-mail. I might even buy it!
But, if the pasted text will always be a mess like this, it's a problem.
Using Paste instead of Paste Text is even worse, since the vertical spacing is bad (although I know that I can remove the paragraph formatting).

Hi,
I've done some extensive testing using MS Outlook 2003 and HTML.
No problems were experienced at all.
Cheers

Hi David,
Can you please post a support ticket attaching the Text that you had copied into InfoHesive. This would help me fix the issue if it exists with the version that I have.
Thank you. _________________ Kind regards,

I haven't paid yet, since I'm still evaluating, so I don't know how to create a support ticket. I'll attach the text here (somehow).
A few issues for the first one…
• We don’t have [extra removed]
That text has a ... which changes into a single ellipsis character, and the bullet comes out weird. I don't know if you can get this from the message here. Can I attach a document to this forum post? I'll try.
Thanks. |

OK, I figured out how to create a tech support document and attached a Word file which (hopefully) has the same data that the HTML message had.
If that doesn't work, I'll save the message as a .msg file and attach that. Let me know.
Thanks. |

Hi, support ticketing is free for all trial users and licensees. Please do not hesitate to submit a support ticket at:
http://www.2brightsparks.com/help/index.php?pf=usr
There's an article that explains the support ticket sign-up process at:
http://www.2brightsparks.com/help/index.php?action=kb&article=15
Our online ticketing system ensures that support requests are logged and tracked properly. A record is kept of each support request for both the user and our staff to view. This results in more effective communication, and a faster resolution to issues. _________________ Kind regards,
