Outstanding Software and Customer Care

"I recently downloaded the free trial and then purchased SyncBackSE. I was immediately impressed by the software. It downloaded and installed easily - no problems, no moments wondering what option to pick, and no reboots.

At the "expert" level, the software has tons of options. I didn't feel ready for that, so I thought I'd just try an initial backup at the default level. The software was very intuitive, and guided me through the process. About the time when a new user wonders, "oh man, I wonder if this is going to work...", the software suggests doing a trial run. It does that, tells you that it was successful and asks if you want to run the backup. So I did, and it worked great. It even reassures you, showing the log that it has been done.

That gave me enough confidence to dig in a little deeper. I knew I needed to go further, because there is data kept in various more obscure folders. There is lots of helpful information on the 2BrightSparks website, but I still had a couple of questions, so I started a support ticket. Even this process was wonderful! Putting in a service ticket is its own intuitive process, gently guiding a new user. Suggesting that it make a zipped copy of the settings the user has in SyncBackSE. All the user need do is click, agreeing to this, and the support process makes the zip file and puts it on the desktop. The user then enters whatever questions and at the bottom clicks another button which attaches the zip file. Talk about user friendly!!

I received the usual auto-response advising me that someone would be in touch the next day. O. K., here's hoping. Very promptly, a well thought-out reply came in. Answering ALL of my questions and making some suggestions. WOW! I was impressed. The technician included links for further information, and closed, noting that he'd close the ticket (since it did answer all my questions), but that I shouldn't hesitate to reopen it if I had more.

This would be amazing enough, but it doesn't stop here.

Today, (a day after the first response), I received an email from another technician with some additional thoughts (a "small addition" as it was called).

I've been using computers since the MS-Dos days and the Internet since it began. I've experienced customer care of this depth and quality only a few times in all those years.

Your software and your people are outstanding! Thank you for a great experience! I've been looking for a good backup solution for a long time."

"I downloaded SyncBack Freeware... in two days I progressed to SyncBackSE and then purchased it.

I am computer literate and am very demanding on my software. Your freeware is absolutely superb and the SE version is even better. I have used many different backup programs in my years. My first computer was a commodore 64 and I saved data to cassette tape.

SyncBack, both free and paid for versions, is by far the most superior back up program I have ever seen. It is easy to use for those that don't want to delve into complicated backups and is basically limitless in its settings if I use the expert mode.

The finest, most complete and intuitive piece of software I have ever seen

"I stumbled upon your software a couple of days ago and am sure glad I did. I have been searching for a decent backup program to replace handy backup, which likes to crash a little too often. I'm very particular about my software and will spend hours searching for the right utility or program etc. I have also tried no hands backup, genie and a few others.

I have 5 computers and spend far too much time on them. I use a myriad of software. After playing with your program for a day or two now, I have to say it may be the finest, most complete and intuitive piece of software I have ever seen - and I have seen a hell of a lot. I use my computer for everything. Absolutely everything is there, totally intuitive with no perusing the help file to figure out anything. WOW. Vegas Video has been at the top of my list but you guys have usurped them. The only thing I can come up (and it sure is minor) with that could be added is something I saw with genie that i liked - a quick right click on the tray icon with a option there to perform a quick backup - nice but far far from essential. The only thing that remains is to check stability - so far so great...

I will be purchasing your software. PS - perhaps you guys could put out an OS, and beat microsoft to the punch..."

You guys are sharp, this software is excellent, and it'll be a data backup lifesaver... worth every cent of $20, and more!

By the way, 4 months ago I had to transport my 2 RAID drives 6 hours and pay $1200 for 240 GB of data recovery (and I got off cheaply)... all because I didn't have SyncBackSE running in the background... I had so much data that I didn't "get around to" backing up most of it, and paid dearly for my foolishness. Ignorance IS expensive and painful.

SyncBackSE forevermore. In fact, it ought to come PRE-loaded on every machine sold... no exceptions. Thanks.

"I downloaded your product from a google search to compare two directories recursively. I tried about 4 product options and yours was the easiest to setup and run. It probably took me all of 60 seconds to get it running and most of that was browsing to the two directory points I wanted to compare. And it did the synchronisation perfectly. The Profile Type wizard was excellent. The simulation option was excellent as it showed what would happen. In my view not bad for someone who is one the other side of 50 (I'm 52)."

"I used a older version, set it, forgot about it for almost a year. Used a old Zip 100 for the backup. During a defrag, my virus scanner popped up, locked, and yes crashed Win XP. Had to "reload Windows." My daughter freaked out, all her college documents, and worst yet photos from a old digital camera we no longer have. It worked, had her stuff, my bookmarks, yeah. I am a middle aged fart, trust me, easy to use without doing anything cosmic."

"I did not search for freeware backup tools, i just wanted a good one. i tried at first many shareware ones, none was good enough (not enough features). i tried some freeware ones... as i expected ... they were not so good, but ... syncback was unexpectedly VERY good compared to all others. i'm currently using it :).
